Why
Where the Box Watchwinder hides its mechanism, this one shows it. The gears are the point: a slow, mechanical piece that suits the watch it holds.
Design
The watch sits in a large ring gear that rests on rollers. A motor in the body drives it through the smaller front gear, so the whole ring turns with the watch inside. An illuminated button sets it going, and the body stands on four printed legs.
