Why
A full-size bench supply takes up a lot of desk space. Most of us already own a capable USB-C charger, so this supply uses one as its power source and fits in the palm of your hand.
Design
The board negotiates the highest available voltage from the charger over USB Power Delivery, then regulates it down to the set output with a programmable current limit. Voltage and current are shown live on a colour display, and a rotary encoder sets the output.
The output is available on 4 mm banana jacks and a screw terminal, and there are test pads for USB data and the 3.3 V rail.
