Overview
Each work has its own form, light and movement, but they all run on the same driver. The board is configured per piece, so one design covers the whole family. That means less to source, test and maintain, and new editions don't need new electronics.
My role
I was the electronics and software engineer on the universal driver and all three works: I designed the electronics and wrote the software that drive the motion and light.

Works
Shape of Water
A water shrine that projects the caustic patterns of light passing through water. It asks us to see water as something poetic and worth respecting, not just a resource.

Passage to the Lake
An attempt to bring the calm of standing by a lake into the city. Drops fall into a pool of water, and the rhythm of the rippling surface creates a moment of rest amid urban noise.

Drifting Clouds
A kinetic sculpture that makes waves, normally invisible carriers of energy, something you can see and feel. Its motion catches and reflects light and its surroundings.
